In the newly created Comarca Naso Tjër-Di, we survived, since before the colonial conquest, living with nature in a Panamanian tropical jungle at the beginning of the Central Cordillera of Talamanca, a short distance from the Tjër River, goddess Naso (Teribe). ODESEN Naso OBC Ecotourism Sustainable Development Organization, we recently created infrastructures such as; shelter, trails, botanical garden, for education, rest and the delight of visitors.
In compliance with the Regional and Environmental Law of Panama, our organization ODESEN OBC coordinates its activities with the Ministry of Environment, as well as Alianza Bocas and REDTUCOMBO (Bocas del Toro Community Tourism Network).
We are developing this eco-ethno-tourism activity in the Siey Kjing Community, highlighting the ancestral cultural values of this Naso people and the conservation of the environment, we also offer traditional organic food services (fruits), vegetables and the monkey tail fern, salads, among others.
Visits to the ecological trails, where our ancestors traveled and to the surrounding communities and other activities that make these centers such as bird watching a real attraction for adventure and nature lovers, additionally we take advantage of the rapids of the Tjër river, goddess Naso (Teribe) rafting down a traditional Naso transport, demonstration of traditional dances, exchange of experiences with traditional doctors and tour to the communities to see subsistence agriculture.
The transportation by boat on the Teribe river, between Bonyic and Sieillik, base of the group, costs $ 50.00, round trip, price for the boat with up to 6 passengers.
We have 2 cabines ("Oropendola" and "Toucan" with bunk beds and mosquito nets.
The cost is $ 20.00 per night per persona.
We offer comfortable and clean cabinas, very well ventilated.
The food is served in our own restaurant. Prices (per person) are: $ 3.00 the breakfast, $ 6.00 the lunch and $ 5.00 the dinner.
Menu is based in local resources, like chicken, fish, roots and vegetals.
We recommend you to bring: drinking water, insect repellent, hats, light clothes including a coat and rain coat light too, as well as shoes adquate for walking in the forest.
Also, some protection against splashing water for boat trips or from rain for your cameras and electronics.
